Cedar offers more durability than many other types of wood. In fact, using cedar will often add years of life to the fence and reduce or eliminate most maintenance issues that may come up over time. Wood moisture commonly causes many woods to warp and crack, especially in colder climates during freeze and thaw cycles. Cedar wood has the capacity to change its moisture content to approximate atmospheric humidity to avoid this problem. It is a perfect choice for your residential fencing.
Privacy
Built to offer privacy for your family, as well as to conceal any unpleasantness that may surround your property, YABOO cedar privacy fences are typically manufactured to a height of 6-feet. Our solid cedar fences are also available in 36-, 42-, 48-, 54-, and 60-inch heights.
Solid Board and Stockade-style sections are classically considered one-sided fences. These styles are a good choice when you are looking for a low cost product that will deliver the same privacy as a double-sided fence. They are also an excellent choice when your property adjoins woods or a parking lot where you do not need to show a finished side.
Tongue and Groove and Shadow Board are also known in the trade as Board on Board fences because they have the same appearance on both sides. Offered in a number of attractive designs, YABOO privacy fences are sure to meet everyone’s personal style.
Picket
Spaced picket fencing is designed with a uniform distance between each picket. The standard spacing is 2-inches. YABOO can adjust this to meet your individual requirements. You can choose from 1-inch x 4-inch boards, or 1-inch x 6-inch boards, topped in the style of your choice. Whether the design you choose is straight top, scalloped or crowned, a new picket fence is sure to beautify your yard or garden, while giving your home enormous curb appeal.
Victorian picket fence is constructed using 2-inch x 2-inch spindle pickets. This style is an elegant alternative to the classic picket fence. All our cedar picket fence styles are available in 36-, 42-, 48-, 54-, 60-, and 72-inch heights.
Post and Rail
Post and Rail fence is available in Round Rail, Split Rail, and Rustic Rail styles. Round Rails, available in 10-foot lengths, are made from cedar. Split Rails, obtainable in 11-foot lengths, are made of locust and other hardwoods.
Rustic Rails, offered in 10-foot lengths, are made from axe-split red cedar. All of these styles are available in 2- and 3-hole systems. For extra security, welded wire or chain link wire can be affixed to the fence to help enclose livestock, pets, and children. A three-rail fence system with chain link will meet most pool codes. Please check with your local building department for local building codes.
Gates
In a majority of YABOO fence installations, at least one gate is also needed. The gate style you select can match the exact style and design of your fencing, or it can be built as an accent piece to your fence and property. For example, if your new fence is a 6-foot high tongue-and-groove, straight-top, then your gate could be a 6-foot high tongue-and-groove, scalloped style, installed in an either an arbor or a pergola. As with your fence, gate choices are limitless.
When choosing your gate, keep in mind that proper width is important. If you plan to use the gate as a daily entrance and exit point, then we recommend either a 3- or 4-foot gate width. Constant use of a wider gate, such as a 5-foot width, may result in sagging due to the sheer mass of the gate. If the gate is the main access for a ride-on lawnmower, then you must get a 5-foot or larger gate width to accommodate safe passage. Gates larger than a 5-foot width are typically built as double-gate because of their weight. If your fence and gate is used to secure and enclose your pool, then New York State laws require that all gates open away from your pool, and they must be self-closing and self-latching.
